Good Monday! Today I woke up around 8:15, after a pretty realistic dream (that I can't remember anything about!) and thought it was pretty early and that I can go back to sleep. And then CRAP! It's a monday, not a sunday! So I literally got ready in about 7 minutes and was at work by 8:35ish (I live close). Note that my work starts at 8. Oh well, at least I got the extra z's.
This weekend I:
-saw house bunny (I was coerced into it by my sister) and it was stupidly funny.
-hung out with Ariel alot
-and worked it out with Jc that we were not going to move in together right now. We both agreed it was kind of soon, and we would rather move into a new place together as opposed to him just moving into mine...and I haven't even lived in my place for 4 months.
So things were good! I feel less stressed and more carefree.
Yesterday, we went to a comic store, and that was nice as usual...until I spotted a new graphic novel LIKE MINE. I mean, almost exactly! I had a mini heart attack and immediately started reading it. I even bought it. But then I calmed down when I realized the story is completely different, as well as the illustrative style. Phew. But I was very worried at first- I don't want anyone to already have my idea, and have it already published before mine is even finished! :( They already stole my Veronica Mars name.

Long story short: My pseudonym when I was way younger was Veronica Mars. I looooved that name, and I especially loved the name Veronica. My first comics were, of course, the Archie and the gang series--so naturally I loved Veronica. She was sassy, beautiful, smart, rich, kind of snobby, but incredibly compassionate and loving at the heart of it all. To me, she was glamorous and was an older version of what I could be (well, the dark hair part). Of course, things changed as I grew older, but I still love her and think she's essentially a good person in a snobby rich person disguise. I thought Betty was boring. But then again, this was me, way back when I was teeny.
And Mars...I just loved that as a last name. So, my ideal pseudonym was created...and later STOLEN from me when it was made into a famous TV series. You can imagine my shock when I first discovered it!
