December 3rd, 2008

Hey peeps! It is now the last month of the year. Crazy how time flies by...a lot has happened this year, and most of it was pretty good. Dallas has treated me well and been nothing short of peaceful. It's no Austin, but I've come to adjust to my life here pretty well. With that said, however, I will move to new york in
january of 2010. It's not definite, but I've been talking it over relentlessly with hopefully my future roomie to be. I've always wanted to live in New York and I know that I would regret it like no other if I never even tried. I'M SO EXCITED! I'm going to be visiting her in February to check it out...and I figured, well if I'm actually going to come to NY, then I might as well go when the NYCC 2009 is! Hell yeah! I don't really know anyone there except for her, so it will take a great deal of convincing on my part to get her to come. But if not, I'll just go myself (sometimes it's even more fun that way-take the Star Wars/Sci Fi con for example! Oh yeah, I went to that too, in October! Met BRUCE CAMPBELL! Pictures on my flickr.)

Another thing, I just found out that finally Repo! The genetic opera is going to be playing in Dallas starting this friday, the 5th, at the Angelika. Jc is urging me to wait to rent it (it's coming out sometime in January) because he and I both have heard such mixed reviews-with the emphasis on the negative. However, how could I not see Anthony Stewart Head in huge role on the big screen!? He doesn't understand my Buffy love. He likes and really enjoys buffy...but not to my extent. The other day, some random lady at this restaurant asked if the ring I was wearing was my wedding ring and if I was Irish. I just laughed and said no-this is my Buffy ring. Hardly any one gets it. Hehehehe.

A short recap of November's events:

-drew a ton...pictures at bottom of post

-WIZARD WORLD 2008 was a blast!! Pics are up on my myspace and my flickr. I got a ton of sketches and got to meet pretty much almost every one I wanted to meet, except for Brian Azzarello. I emptied my pockets out fast and also found a couple hard to find movies: Evil Dead the musical!, Fantastic Planet, and the full grindhouse (planet terror/death proof) as it was originally presented in the theatre. It was a different experience from last year's, considering then I went with my friend Jenn, but nonetheless a very good time!

-I also turned 25. Wow. ehhh....

-I now am the proud owner of a Wii and a PS3! I've been mario karting and mortal kombatting it up for days. The new DC Universe vs MK is pretty awesome! The characters are a blast to play. However, not all humans/aliens/supernaturals are created equally. Superman vs. catwoman? Really?  The Flash actually blows everyone out of the water. No one has anything on him. I asked for little big planet and the new tomb raider for Hanukkah. Jc has little big planet and it really does fascinate you. The graphics are incredible and every little detail is exquisitely adorable. Not to mention the cute little guy himself! He also already made me a level-I'll have to post pics of it later.

I'm so excited you're going to NYCC!! We totally have to meet up at some point. You're going to love it.

Even though I didn't love Repo I'd say it's still worth it to see in the theater because of Rupert. :)

Also, that Leeloo picture is great! You should totally post it to my Fifth Element group on Flickr.
